The Golden Period of Scalp Care for Mothers: From Pregnancy to Postpartum | Baby Show 2025

From September 27 to 28, 2025, AneoSolution participated in the Toronto Baby Show for the very first time.

This event marked a meaningful milestone for us—not only as a brand, but also on a personal level.

Our co-founder, Heidi Cheung, has personally experienced challenges such as hair loss, hair thinning, and sebum imbalance. These struggles led her to explore effective scalp care solutions, and ultimately to the founding of Histemo—a system built around restoring scalp balance from the root.

During the show, Heidi was also going through her own pregnancy journey. This allowed her to gain deeper insights into the physiological changes that women experience during pregnancy and the postpartum period, particularly in relation to scalp and hair health.

Through research and observation, we identified a critical concept:
there is a “golden window” during pregnancy and after childbirth where proper scalp care can help stabilize scalp conditions and reduce the risk of postpartum hair loss.

With this understanding, we brought Histemo to the Baby Show with a clear purpose—
to introduce scalp health awareness for mothers at the right stage, at the right time.

2) Contribution

At the Baby Show, our focus was on education, awareness, and practical solutions for mothers.

Understanding Hair and Scalp Changes During Pregnancy

We studied and shared insights on how hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect:

  • Hair growth cycles
  • Sebum production
  • Scalp sensitivity and balance

While many women experience thicker hair during pregnancy, this is often followed by postpartum hair shedding, which can be alarming if not properly understood.

By explaining these changes, we helped parents recognize that hair and scalp conditions are dynamic and stage-dependent, rather than random or uncontrollable.

Introducing Customized Scalp Care for Mothers

Based on different scalp conditions during pregnancy, we emphasized the importance of:

  • Maintaining a balanced scalp environment
  • Adjusting care routines according to hormonal changes
  • Preventing buildup and inflammation that may trigger hair loss

We also introduced our Histemo product protocols, specifically designed to support mothers through this transitional phase—focusing on gentle yet effective scalp regulation.

Bringing Knowledge to Parents

To make this knowledge more accessible, we created and distributed educational flyers that covered:

  • Hair cycle changes during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Common misconceptions about hair loss
  • Practical scalp care tips for each stage

Throughout the event, we engaged directly with parents—listening to their concerns, answering questions, and sharing professional insights on mother-specific scalp care.

Our goal was not only to provide solutions, but to ensure that every parent walked away with a clearer understanding of how to care for their scalp during this critical period.

3) Conclusion

Our first experience at the Baby Show 2025 was both meaningful and inspiring.

It reinforced our belief that scalp care should begin before problems arise—especially during key life stages such as pregnancy and postpartum.

By introducing the concept of the golden window for scalp health, we hope to empower more mothers to take proactive steps in maintaining scalp balance and preventing long-term hair concerns.

At AneoSolution, we remain committed to:

  • Advancing scalp health education
  • Developing targeted solutions for different life stages
  • Supporting individuals through informed, root-cause-based care

Because when scalp care is done at the right time,
it can make a lasting difference—not just for hair,
but for confidence and well-being as well.
