Recently, our co-founder Kelly, a Registered Practical Nurse and Certified Medical Aesthetic Practitioner, was invited as a guest educator at Eikonic Academy in Mississauga. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to contributing to the local professional community by sharing knowledge that empowers service providers at the front line of hair and scalp care.
Bridging the Knowledge Gap in Scalp Health
The session, titled “Fundamentals of Scalp Health”, was designed to address a critical gap in the industry — the ability to accurately assess and understand scalp conditions.
Many clients today experience recurring issues such as:
- Oily scalp
- Dandruff and buildup
- Sensitivity and irritation
- Hair thinning and hair loss
However, without proper foundational knowledge, these concerns are often treated symptomatically rather than at the root cause.

During the session, Kelly guided approximately 30 attendees — including barbers, head spa practitioners, and salon owners — through key scientific and practical concepts, including:

- Identify common scalp concerns through scalp analysis
